Andy Hall, Saxophone

Andy Hall is a distinguished saxophone soloist, chamber musician, and private instructor based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He has performed as soloist with the University of Michigan Symphony Band, Interlochen’s World Youth Symphony, the US Air Force Band of the Golden West, and has been featured on NPR’s “From the Top”. As a co-founder of Latitude 49, Andy has collaborated with renowned composers such as Marc Mellits, Shulamit Ran, Kevin Day, and Christopher Cerrone, and has premiered dozens of new works. During his tenure with The Moanin’ Frogs he performed internationally on baritone saxophone, winning the wind division of the prestigious M-Prize Chamber Arts Competition. With a Masters of Music and Masters of Arts in Education from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, he has been a dedicated teacher for 20 years, leading an award-winning saxophone studio in Ann Arbor. Andy’s mentors include the illustrious Donald Sinta, Dr. Timothy McAllister, Chad Eby, Susan Fancher, and Steven Stusek.
